Grown, made and bottled on our property, Serengale Vineyard Beechworth. The Chardonnay vines are 18 years old, on a gently undulating south facing part of our vineyard at around 320 meters above sea level. The grapes are handpicked and fermented in a mix of new and old French oak using wild, indigenous yeast. The wine is unfiltered with minimal handling. Displaying an abundance of stone fruit and pear notes on the nose, the 2019 Chardonnay has a generous soft pallet, which show cases the power of the fruit with a subtle oak overlay. Peach Pear and almond, this well balanced wine is supported by a hint of minerality, the signature of the Beechworth GI.
This wine is a compliment to the big sister, Row 16 Chardonnay. A special release Estate Chardonnay.
