Serengale Retreat is on a vineyard within the Beechworth wine region, noted for small family owned vineyards with estate vinified wines handcrafted using traditional methods.
Serengale Retreat is central to both historic Beechworth with its cafes, restaurants and shops and the Milawa Gourmet Region with its wineries and local produce. We are only a 25 minute drive from historic Chiltern and the rural city of Wangaratta and a 50 minute drive to the Rutherglen Wine Region.
Beechworth Cellar Doors
Beechworth wines are produced by small artisan vignerons, many of whom are open only by appointment. To experience some of our regions wines, the cellar doors of Serengale and Indigo Vineyards are all within 1 kilometre of Serengale Retreat. You can arrange a private tasting and meet the winemaker at Serengale Vineyard, or enjoy a wine tasting experience at Indigo Vineyard. In Beechworth visit the cellar doors of Pennyweight and Haldon Estate.

Chiltern Mt Pilot National Park
Chiltern Mt Pilot National Park is located between Beechworth and Chiltern townships and is home to some rare bird species such as the Regent Honeyeater. Great for bird watches and also walkers and cyclists exploring the iron bark forests.
